In 2015 WSDOT proposed a new 3 sided precast culvert with the sole intent of improving existing and future fish passageways.  This new design increased the previous 30 foot span to a new maximum 60 foot span.  Helser Industries was enlisted to design and build a form that would produce both the initial 30 foot span  dictated by the Church Creek project as well as expand to the full 60 foot requirement in the future.
